CHOICES
- Suicide claims the lives of thousands of teens each year. It is the
third leading cause of death in those aged 14-19, and the second leading
cause of death of those aged 19-25. Suicide is the sixth
leading cause of death among those aged 5-14. "CHOICES"
is an award winning program that educates teens on how to recognize the
signals of suicide and how to seek help for themselves or a friend.
Suicide is not about wanting to die.
Suicide
is about stopping the pain.
"CHOICES" helps teens realize that
there is another choice besides suicide. Talking is the first step
for PREVENTION. This program is offered to junior high and high school
students and can be presented in an hour format.
