CONTACT’s training format will consist of an intensive 30 hour training program.

During training, trainers strive to provide an environment which is supportive and open. In this environment trainees are provided with the opportunity to grow personally while learning how to help others. Potential volunteers are trained extensively in active listening, crisis management skills, suicide assessment, and substance abuse. Volunteers will be trained to do "Choices" and "Yellow Ribbon" programs in school and other organizations that request the program.

CONTACT Lubbock is the suicide prevention and intervention specialist in the Lubbock and surrounding areas. We offer several programs specifically targeted at preventing suicide.
